How to Register

There are two registration processes: one for Canadian Students and one for Newcomer Students. Please review the criteria within each process to find out which is the right process for your child.

Parents of students with exceptionalities who are new to the area should contact the school principal and support service team at their zoned school.

Homeschooled students returning to public school can follow the registration process below for Canadian Students.

Which school will my child go to?

Students are assigned to schools in their catchment area. To find the schools closest to your family’s home, use the school finder. Sometimes, students can attend a school outside their catchment by requesting an intra-district school placement.

Registration for Canadian Students

Your child is considered a Canadian Student if they meet the following criteria:

Canadian student criteria

If your child meets the above criteria, they can be registered by following the steps below.

Step 3: Finish your child’s registration onsite

Your child’s registration will be completed in-person at their new school on August 26, 2024, from Noon to 4:00 p.m. or as posted on your school’s website. If you need help along the way, please contact us at the district office.
