Hundreds of students across Anglophone West School District will have access to new bookbags and school supplies this fall thanks to a generous donation from Costco Fredericton.
Costco employees recently arrived with a pickup truck packed with 768 new bookbags! 384 for elementary students and 384 for middle and high school students. The bags came in a variety of colours and styles, with some basic school supplies included inside.
The timing couldn’t have been better.
With school leaders from across ASD-W gathered for our opening administrators’ meetings, the district was able to distribute the bookbags directly to principals to take back to their schools. They will now be available for school staff to provide to students as needed when classes resume on September 8.
We are very grateful to the team at Costco Fredericton for this substantial donation and for the care that went into providing bookbags suitable for students of different ages.
