As March is National Nutrition Month, Anglophone School District West is encouraging district schools to participate in New Brunswick’s 2025 Great Big Crunch—an event designed to make some ‘noise’ around the importance of school food programs—on Friday, March 14th, at 9:00 a.m.

On that day, you and your classes are encouraged to snack on something healthy!

If you are interested in participating, here are a few steps to follow:

  • Determine what you are crunching on. This year the theme is LOCAL – we are encouraging the use of NB growers for local apples or other fruits/vegetables that work best for your school. To ‘work smarter, not harder’ I would suggest participating during your regular breakfast program times.
  • There will be a LIVE event! Log in @ 9am to collectively take part in the ‘Great Big Crunch’. You can find the link here:
  • The most important part – Be sure to register your Crunch with the National Coalition of Healthy School Food:

If you need any help in coordinating or are looking for further clarification, don’t hesitate to contact me: [email protected]. We’re happy to help!

Happy Crunching!
